Cleanliness is Key: Stop using regular bar soap for the face! Men need to start using face wash. If you do not know your skin type, a cleanser for normal skin will do. Doing so will eliminate excess dirt and oils. Practice moderate scrubbing— you do not want to irritate the skin during this process.
Ladies, aside from daily face wash, it is recommended to use a deep cleansing mask once a week to dry out and clear up blemishes without being too harsh. Doing so helps to balance out the oils in our skin for a glowing, fresh-look.
Clear Skin is In: Men also need to exfoliate in order to remove dead skin cells and stimulate cellular turnover. If a few pimples start presenting themselves on your face, grab some toothpaste and dab a little on top of the new pimple to dry it out. Don’t forget to wash off!
Reduce puffiness and dark circles by placing an ice cube on the roof of your mouth with your tongue. As the ice melts, the cold will penetrate eliminating puffiness and lightening underneath the eyes. Applying Preparation H over bags also helps.
Hydration is Vital: Dry climate has approached and it is time to switch out your lightweight moisturizer for a thicker, cream-like substance with hydrating ingredients to guarantee intensity and long-lasting protection and as well as coverage. The lightweight moisturizer will not be as effective.
Men must also remember to use moisturizer—not just the ladies. A SPF 30-50 is necessary to protect the skin against sun’s rays, prevent wrinkles, rugged-skin appearance, and in worst cases – skin cancer!
Care For Your Hair: We must maintain our hair’s health by conditioning it regularly. It is recommended (for ladies especially) to apply a leave-in conditioner on damp hair, before styling. Leave-in treatment helps to restore or repair the hair from damage caused by heat and chemicals when using styling tools.
Men definitely need to groom their eyebrows just as much as females. Excessive facial hair growth can become unmanageable, therefore trimming brows is necessary. Eyebrow threading is the latest, best-technique used for facial hair removal (compared to waxing or tweezing). To establish an ideal eyebrow shape, one should visit a brow professional.
Polish Your Look: You don’t have to get a full manicure treatment, if that’s not your thing, but keep nails clipped and filed—cleaning regularly under the nails can keep bacteria and fungi from growing under the nail. Use cuticle oil, moisturize your hands and nails daily, and always clip. Do not bite nails.
Lips need exfoliation just like our skin. Exfoliation is important to remove dead skin that can make your lips dry and flaky. The secret to soft lips is natural, cheap, healing and easy to do. Simply mix a little brown sugar (or white sugar) with olive oil (or coconut oil) in a small container. Dip your finger and rub it on your lips in soft, circular motions. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel.
