Fashion Week Cleveland’s First Social Event of the Year

This past Saturday, April 11th, Steve and I attended the model call and talent search for Fashion Week Cleveland at  La Strada on E. 4th Street.  This event kicked off the beginning of a month that has events lined up every Friday, leading up to the actual fashion week. If you have been watching our video podcast, I have mentioned the upcoming events they have lined up and hope to have more video content of  this year’s event soon.

It was very cold outside that evening, but upon arriving, the warmth and low lighting of the Mediterranian bistro made my chilly lakefront trek well worth it.

Once in the door, I was greeted by members of the Fashion Week Committee and found them very helpful whenever I had a question. You could definitely tell that they were all personally invested in making this event and Fashion Week as a whole, the best it can possibly be.

During the “walk off” all of the other models were very supportive of each other, and the crowd enjoyed watching every minute (and model) of the showcase. Afterwards there was more music and dancing, which led perfectly into the rest of the night.  On a whole the event went well and was ran rather smoothly, and I look forward to attending this week’s event, “Meet the Designers” at XO Prime Steaks this coming Friday.  Hope to see you all there!
